As a software engineer, I work with new technologies within the Big Data and Enterprise content Management market for national clients. I have been trained and worked with Documentum and Captiva. My job involves development, training and maintenance of those services for our clients.
I have learned project structure skills and gained valuble experience with industry leading software product, making me a greater asset to the company.
I have enjoyed my experience alot. While at times it can be very hard, as you need to balance a full time job with the education and also personal life, there is not much time and energy left for other matters. However, I do consider it all worth it.
I feel quite valued by Capgemini. they have given me the opportunities that i wanted and have always made me feel like I am a part of the company.

The university offers the training offer the support as they do their normal students. We can contact them via emails and arrange private office hours meetings with our tutors if we have any issues with the material.
The company gives us a generous amount of additional study leave on top of our normal standard entitled holiday. I feel like I can speak with my manager and HR team whenever I have an issue, and they will look into it.
The salary package is very decent for the level you enter the company on, in comparison to other jobs for the typical school leaver. Any travel cost (Transport and Accomodation) is covered by the company or client whenever you have to travel anywhere else besides you base location to do your work.
There are other opportunities for social events outside of work. They do however tend to be focused around certain areas of the country. They do make an effort to work out something for the employees which does not live in the most central part of the country.
