I work as an applications consultant in the developer stream in the applications outsourcing business unit. On a day-to-day basis I investigate and fix issues in code.
I have learnt many new skills such as different programming languages, had to the opportunity to use and learn different software and just generally build my knowledge and skillset
I enjoy my programme very much, the content is very varied giving me the opportunity to learn a very broad spectrum of stuff and things.
I do feel very valued by Capgemini, you are genuinely treated as a person rather than just a number, everyone is extremely approachable.
The programme is very well organised/structured, the requirements of the course are detailed and outlined from the beginning making it easier to manage your time.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider, they are very supportive and provide my training.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, they are very supportive and employ me.
My salary/package meets all of my costs, it's very competitive for a degree apprenticeship and there are also regular pay reviews on the programme.
There are many opportunities outside of work, particularly with being on a degree apprenticeship, they are a huge advocate of attending school/careers events and promoting the scheme.
Yes
For myself personally, Capgemini has offered me a stepping stone to the rest of my career, along with a degree and a wealth of industry experience, I would absolutely recommend it.
Just be yourself, as cliché as it sounds. I have found that with Capgemini they hire you for your person, not necessarily for your grades. They don't want someone to walk through the door who thinks they know everything, they want someone who walks in and is willing to learn.
