  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    7/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Completing ACA qualification - learning about accountancy and gaining on the job experience - increasing confidence.

    10/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Work is ok - I've learnt a LOT, however it can often be very repetitive and mundane. The contract is also much longer for a school leaver. Saying that, Deloitte is a great company to work for.

    5/10

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?
  • Salary is below that of a graduate joiner - however we are expected to work just as hard for £7k per year less reward than a graduate who did a completely unrelated degree and often performing at a much lower level.

    3/10

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • We were the first year to be put through the programme so some details needed ironing out.

    5/10

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • This is where Deloitte really shines - it seems to have a knack for hiring helpful happy staff. You never feel unsupported, everyone will always go out of their way to help you.

    9/10

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • as above

    9/10

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • the first year was particularly difficult to live on. £20k in London is very very difficult!

    5/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Lots of socials, sports groups, networking events.

    7/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • On the whole, a good company to work for.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte?
  • Prep for interviews - but focus on coming across as a friendly, confident person. They're often looking at how you present yourself more than what you're actually saying. The competency tests and required grades are thought to "cover off" the intelligence part!
