I am a web / desktop and hopefully future mobile developer. Daily tasks include reviewing outstanding work for projects, and completing these tasks in an efficient and timely manner for our clients.
Before joining the company, I had never touched a line of code and I am now a proficient developer, so I have learnt an incredible amount
I love my programme. I am able to learn and earn at the same time. I work in a great team, who support my learning and treat me as a true part of the team.
I feel very valued. The apprentices are constantly winning awards, working their way up the business and being fully utilised.
Very organised. All dates for university / exams are forecast in advance so we can plan study leave and annual leave around them
Aston University have been exceptional in the amount of support and time we get from them. We have monthly calls with them to ensure that all students are happy, and whether there are any improvements to be made
Full support. Allowances for study leave are very helpful
Very well.
There are many activities that go on throughout the year, including parties, socials and charity events.
Yes
They genuinely look after their employees.
Do your research. Not just on how many employees we have, who the CEO is, etc. but actual research into what we do. Know what you want to do, do some research into the field, put the effort in to show you want to go into that area, and Cap will help you get there In the assessment days, be yourself, make sure you speak with other people, and it isn't all about how you are as an individual, it is how you work within a team, so bear that in mind! And take it from me, I didn't have any experience in programming, but a role came up and I learnt the necessary skills to get myself into the role. YOU and only you are in charge of career. It will be what you make of it.
