  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The work I do and the people I have met have been amazing so far. The values that KPMG promote are inspirational and the culture here lets you "bring your whole self to work"

  • 4. How valued do you feel by KPMG?
  • My tax team value me and see me as an integral part of the team, even though I'm still a junior. However, I do have difficulties with the Apprenticeship management and I feel there's a lot that could be worked on in that manner. I feel that we are not valued for the work we do and we are not recognised by our achievements.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very poorly organised. The organisers of the programme are very secretive and do not give much support. A majority of the time, they cannot answer any questions we have, and I feel that they have no idea what path the apprenticeship is taking. Even though this is a new programme, it seems as though "they are going with the flow", which isn't ideal for an organised individual like myself

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The training provider are very helpful. They are easy to contact and are always there when need be. They help us through stressful exam periods and ensure we reach the exam in a content state.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My tax team and mentor are very helpful and supportive. The accessibility to support in this firm is very good and they ensure we are given the appropriate treatment

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Living costs are a slight issue as I'm one of two earners for my household. The travel costs and daily living costs are ok, however our apprenticeship seems to pay less than the other big 4.

    7/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes, KPMG hold many activities for all members to partake in, regardless of faith or culture. There are events happening on a daily basis.

    8/10

  • 9. Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It's one of the big 4, which is prestigious as it is. Even though I may not have had the best of experiences, there are many others who I see enjoy their work and I hope others will too.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • get help from as many professionals you can. Dress smart and speak clearly and appropriately. There's no such thing as being overprepared! Make sure you practice your interview questions before you arrive. And most importantly, be yourself!
