Personal Banker - Engaging with customers on a day to day basis to help them prosper. Whether this is in the branch through appointments or in the local community such as helping at local schools or volunteering for local charities.
I have learned how to truly deepen a relationship with my customers, to help them in times of need and knowing how to react in certain situations. The apprenticeship has enhanced that which will leave me with a L3 qualification.
There is a true team ethic within my branch, they help me complete my apprenticeship and give feedback when necessary. The knowledge I have gained will apply to all aspects of my day in and outside of the branch! Brilliant experience!
I have been on a number of engagement events through Santander to acknowledge my hard work. But they have also funded my apprenticeship so I feel extremely valued.
This is the first year of the program, the content that they have given us as in textbooks laptops etc are excellent! However myself and other colleagues have felt lost at times trying to traverse the course. The mock testing that was given to us was a few years out of date so it wasn't a true representation of the exam which was disappointing. But I cannot knock the support of the team on BPP and santander, even though it has been tough they have helped me through and orgainsed meet ups to get us on track.
Catch up calls, meeting and feedback given on my evidence! they try the best they can and it shows
Manager has driven me harder recently as he now knows the importance of the course, so he is delegating me to me that will help as evidence to my apprenticeship.
The salary meets my requirements for the meantime but as we now have branch targets I feel I work very hard but its hard to get a monetary benefit as its so dependant on others. Santander offer progression so this does not bother me as much, as long as I get the opportunity.
we have small engagement events in the branch and meetups which is good so im happy with opportunity
Yes
Santander have been my work from when I left education and I have had a clear progression track. Excellent benefits and I feel like I have a true purpose and know our goal.
For branch based roles your personality is key, professionalism in an interview will display how you will be in front of customers. And that's what a manager wants to see.
