My day to day activities include working with clients and the development team to develop software that meets the clients goals. I currently work on a government project.
My skills have increased dramatically during my time with the company, I am now comfortable contributing to large scale projects and making decisions on the direction of them
I do enjoy my programme, the Uni can sometimes be frustrating but generally speaking it is good. The people I work with are great and very supportive.
I feel as though Capgemini value me a lot, and they reflect this in my compensation. I am very trusted within my project team and often seen as a 'go-to' person.
Again, at times the Uni is frustrating, but generally it is well planned out. We know our exam/on-campus dates years in advance which greatly helps with planning.
The uni give us support whenever we need it which is good, at times that support isnt perfect, and sometimes can be even more confusing, but the effort is definitely there.
Capgemini support me very well. They give every apprentice a set number of study days per year on top of your annual leave that can be used for coursework or revision. They also give each employee a training budget that can be used for any training wanted.
I work away on expenses, which are fully paid for by Capgemini which is great. On top of my salary they currently pay for me to live in London, and commute home at weekends.
There is a great social aspect within teams in Capgemini. As I currently stay away from home during the week I am out most nights with colleagues for food or just a walk. They also provide a budget for team events occasionally which is great.
Yes
I have done already and he has applied. They are a fantastic company to work for, even more so if you put the effort in. The make sure you are rewarded when you work hard.
Make sure you know what you are talking about, or at the very least, show a great interest in learning. The idea of the apprenticeship programme is to learn - so they want people who will be as engaged as possible.
