The role as an attendee of Discover EY was simply to participate in the activities and learn about being an EY apprentice. Throughout the day there were various team exercises and opportunities to speak with current apprentices.
No skills were learned as such, but I did learn a lot about the process of becoming an Ey employee. This includes an understanding of the application process and the experiences of the current apprentices.
The EY representatives were wonderful and the other attendees were lovely. The day was structured very well and so overall I would say I definitely enjoyed it.
The representatives were very nice and took the time to answer every question. The activities allowed every attendee to fully participate.
The day was set up so that there was plenty of time to ask and answer questions, however there was also enough activities to do so that we were always engaged in something.
We learned about the process of applying for the apprenticeship, and also got to ask questions about the experience of the current apprentices.

We were obviously not paid to go to the event, but EY did offer to reimburse some travel costs. This question doesn't really apply.
The event took place in the Hilton at Tower Bridge so there were plenty of places to go after the event had finished.
Yes
I leaned a lot about the different options for the apprenticeship program and was much more confident about applying. Even if you are not set on becoming an accountant it was enjoyable and informative.
The required telephone interview may put you off but definitely apply, it was very worthwhile and got to meet some great people.
