currently I am based in Industrial engineering, here I am working on the layout of several manufacturing halls and how the can be re-arranged to improve efficiency.
I have learnt how to use computer programmes that I didn't know how to use before. I have also furthered my skills whilst working on milling and turning machines, this was on a previous placement.
I find the programme to be a very thorough in what it teaches us many things and still makes it seem enjoyable.
at Leonardo I feel as a valued member of the team, on countless occasion we are told that we are the future of the company.
the programme is very well organised, the apprentice management team clearly know what they are doing, this allows us to worry about small things and instead concentrate on our work.
we have had different forms of training, at college and at work, both have been good.
we receive much support from our employer, our department managers are always willing to answer any questions.
due to the location of where I live it is very costly for me to get to work, because of this and rent and other expenses I have only just enough money each month.
the company encourages us to volunteer ourselves for many things within the company.
Yes
because they will gain the skills and knowledge that will allow you to get a job almost anywhere in the world.
make sure you are positive and talk about as much volunteering that you have done.
