Due to moving placements every 12 weeks, day to day working changes a lot. Get me meet a wide range of people across each placement to help build contacts and communication skills, as well as the skills and knowledge of the placement.
Gained an SVQ 2, working towards an SVQ 3. Also working towards an HNC. Workplace awareness sessions show me other aspects of the business and how they all tie in with each other.
I really enjoy working with more experienced employees to shadow and learn their job. I am enjoying working with Leonardo much more than I expected I would.
At the start of each placement I was made to feel very welcome by all employees I was in contact with. AS the placement progresses, I was given more individual tasks to made me feel part of the team.
The apprenticeship programme is very structured. With a set programme for the first 2 years, I can see what placement I will be in at any given time. From then on, there is some flexibility as to what area of the business you feel best suited to.
The support offered is very good. The apprentice management team, as well as all other employees have been very forthcoming with information to help me develop.
My employer and training provider are the same people. All SVQ 3 evidence is internally marked. the support given is the same as in 6A. Cannot fault the effort put it.
Due to still living at home and having minimal bills to pay, the salary is very good. I don't tend to struggle with money, so long as I budget correctly. Due to still living at home I don't have any living costs to deal with however I could not afford to live on my own just now.
There are a huge amount of events to get involved with outside of work. A lot of volunteering opportunities are on offer as well as social things, such as 5 a side football.
Yes
A very impressive company with great opportunities available going forward. A chance to work with the one of the worlds best companies at what they do and a great opportunity to develop yourself.
Be yourself. Relax into the process and be yourself throughout and make sure a good impression is made both visually and with what you have to offer. Don't shy away from the opportunity.
