I am currently a craft apprentice and my job roles, responsibilities and projects change on a day to day basis which means no two days are the same which is great for training as it gives me a lot of experience in completing different tasks.
I have an SVQ in engineering operations from college and I feel my communication and people skills have improved a lot.
I very much enjoy my work as I enjoy the team aspect but also the independent aspect of it.
I feel very valued as a colleague as you are treated with the upmost respect no matter which department you happen to be in. You also get very stuck in with jobs and are given a lot of responsibility even when working on big projects.
I feel the programme has a good structure as your placements and college block are clearly defined and set out.
We receive a lot of support as they try to push to do out absolute best but they also help us if we are struggling or anything like that.
You can receive as much support as needed from anyone in the company as they are happy to help with anything you need if you have any problems or such things.
I feel due to the price of living going up that the company as done okay in adapting to it.
There are many opportunities outside of work for things like fundraising for charity or going round schools and showing them about engineering is like.
Yes
It is a fantastic opportunity to work for such a large company.
Make sure you plan everything you want to do and don't leave anything to chance.
