Apprentice- Tech Solutions Checking the service desk queue and resolving any issues that pop up. I work with the 1st line support team on the service desk.
This role has allowed me to strengthen my IT skills and my understanding of IT related software. This course involves studying for AAT level 3 accounting diploma which has solidified my knowledge of accounts.
My team on a whole are great, they let me get on with my work and we have friendly chats in the office. Everyone is very happy to help.
This depends on the team I am placed in. During my first rotation, the jobs assigned to me had very little to do with the departments work. e.g. scanning photocopying. Other teams I have been in do value my presence and give me valuable work.
Sometimes things are unclear. Resourcing isn't dealt with very well. Many apprentices don't get the opportunity to get into departments they want.
The tutors are excellent. The website resources need to be upgraded.
The manager in my team is great and is always scouting out opportunities for me to allow me to get more involved in bigger pieces of work. Everyone is always willing to help and I have a buddy in every team I join.
The salary is good enough to meet all my needs.
There are socials every so often and KPMG like engage with the wider public.
Yes
The company treats staff well and there are a great range of opportunities.
To make sure that they are well prepared for each stage. they should have a mock answer to the possible questions and if something has been asked they are unsure of in an interview they should take a minute to have a think.
