As a technical Apprentice my daily tasks include working on projects and tasks that the other employees may not have time to complete. I always have a variety of tasks to complete which is what keeps it interesting.
As a technical Apprentice I have been trained to use equipment that I have never had to use before and at college I have learnt a lot of information about electronics that I didn't know previously.
I am really enjoying my apprenticeship at Leonardo as I enjoy working as part of a team and because of the variety of tasks I am asked to complete it keeps work interesting.
At Leonardo I always feel like my opinion as an apprentice matters as managers are making sure that I am confident in the tasks I am completing.
Once a suitable college course was found the apprenticeship became more organised. Lots of support has been provided by the college and Leonardo.
My training provider is always making sure that I understand the task I have been asked to complete and that I have enough time to complete the it.
Leonardo made sure that I was introduced to all the staff and there location within the company so in the future they could provide any help that I may need if I ever have any problems.
My salary covers all the costs that I currently have such as making sure my car is working and paying for fuel as well as my current living costs.
Leonardo has provided many opportunities to get involved with activities outside of work. an example of this is the rampaging chariots event that I am apart of.
Yes
I would recommend Leonardo to a friend as the company has provided me with everything that I had hoped an apprenticeship would provide me with.
Make sure that you stay up to date on all your college and work assignments as there is a lot of it and it could become overwhelming if it is all left too late.
