I am a technical apprentice with Leonardo MW. I am currently working in the configuration management department but have previously worked in the IRCM Hardware department. on a daily basis I work on processing documents and change requests within the company.
I have learned how to work with people in a work environment. I have also learnt how the company functions and how to for fill my role within the departments I have been in.
I enjoy the program a lot because I get to work with very advanced equipment. I also enjoy it because of the people who work in the business because they will go out there way to help you.
I feel very valued. I know this because instead of getting you to work on just an apprentice project within departments which doesn't benefit the company they get you to work on real projects that are running in the business.
the program is very well structured. you always know what you have to do and what your working towards. they also make it very clear to what you will achieve and how your future can look.
we get supported as much or as little as we want they are happy to help use whenever we need it but it is a very self driven program so if you are wanting to success you need to drive it your self. so the amount of support is just right enough so they are helping you but not to the point that they are doing everything for you.
our employer supports use as much as they can. taking care of use in any shape or from making sure that we are working at the best of our ability.
the salary we are paid at the start of the apprenticeship is just enough for me to get by but as the apprenticeship goes on it will support me better and better.
yes we are constantly volunteering for events to help out with and a lot of the workers may have similar hobbies as you meaning you can meat up with them and enjoy your hobbies together.
Yes
because of the amount of support and willing to help you progress. they are also a very good company to be involved with for future employment if you are wanting to progress to other companies latter on in life.
to make sure you are ready for a steep learning curve but you will also be supported though the curve and to also have a very unique personality and assets that sets you out from the crowd.
