I joined as a Management Consultant and have since rotated around different industries and competencies in the market. In a typical day I might spend time in Client meetings or preparing analysis for the client
I have completed my management consulting diploma and my OCR Consulting exams. PwC has helped me to become more confident and I have really progressed in my soft skills like public speaking for example.
My role is ever changing which means that I get exposure to very different type of industries. This makes for a more varied job role which I really enjoy. The teams I work with are always supportive and I really enjoy working with them.
Very, each manager I have had have taken time to provide feedback on the roles I have completed and have offered praise where appropriate. We have a recognition award assigned to either an apprentice or associate each week. This is then sent to our managers and colleagues.
Well, we have assigned times for study leave or completing diploma work. PwC also builds in time for us to have refresh learning days each quarter and provides us with the opportunity to attend training courses.
Our diploma work tutors set up check in calls every month to go over what parts of the diploma we had completed in that month and our exam tutors provided the college courses and extra revision days. At all times, the tutors were readily accessible by email.
Our line managers are all aware that we have studying to get on with as well as our day to day jobs so are happy for us to take time to revise. We are also allocated a 'People Manager' who is able to help us with any personal problems we are facing in, or out of the work place.
I think it is an excellent starting salary for an 18 year old to come onto and for those living at home it definitely does cover my travel costs. I know that for those living in London it might be a bit of a stretch to cover their living costs
Yes, we are invited to networking events in areas we enjoy very regularly. PwC provide us with certain days that we can take off to volunteer in the community or local schools for example.

PwC has given me a great starting point for my career. I have loved working with each project team and have always felt really supported through all the roles I have undertaken.
There is a site called 'AssessmentDay' where you can practice the numerical and verbal reasoning tests, that is a good idea given that they can be a little tricky.
