I am a customer service adviser working mainly on the counter and front of house serving customer, making cash deposits withdrawal transfers payments and dealing with any customer requests I am sometimes in charge of the vault and ensuring the branch balance is correct I carry out different control checks though out the day and weekly checks too.
I have improved my customer service skills and the different ways in ways I can communicate with my customers. I have become more confident in my role both with my customers and within my branch
I have found the programme both rewarding and challenging. it took some time to settle in back to a learning situation after leaving education 10 years ago. but having tutors that ease you in and help with any problem s has helped I am now very proud of what I have achieved so far and am enjoying it lots
my apprenticeship has been taken very seriously within my branch by my line manger and branch director showing a great interest in what I am doing and helping me whenever I ask. I have been contacted by management out of our branch who have shown interest in how well I have done and was nominated for a recognition program to congratulate me on my success so I feel very valued
it was structured in two parts the first was very well organised and gave a lot of helpful advise. the second part has taken some getting used but we have had tutors on hand at all times to help being a first time apprenticeship we have also been able to help them with ways we believe it could have been improved
lots! we have monthly webinars which go over the segment we will be evidencing for that month and also have on-going support through out the month. if we require any additional help we have lots of different methods to ask for it via email phone and even a what's app group where we can gain advice from other colleagues doing the same programme.
lots! my manger is very hands on with me and my learning and will take time out with me when I ask at a arrange time to help with anything im not sure about. when i ask for time out of my usual day to complete work i am left along in a quite place to concentrate. my other colleagues are also helpful in helping gain the evidence i need
my salary is average for my job role in my area.
there are different events that Santander hold through the year such as recognition advents
Yes
there are many opportunities for advancement and improvement if you work hard the rewards can be very good. and the working environment is always professional but fun.
it can be an extensive process getting though with online testing, then a phone interview followed by a face to face interview if successful, showing customer service skills is a must.
