  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • This can vary. Currently I am on a client role, this involves stakeholder management of employers, reviewing applications for funding, collating MI and reporting. It has been a great role to gain exposure to how government funding works.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Level 4 qualification in management consulting. Built up excel skills, presentation skills, stakeholder management, reporting.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy it at the moment. I feel fully supported by my colleagues and really feel part of the team. Everyone is available to offering advice and showing me new things.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by PwC?
  • I feel particularly valued in my team at the moment. This is due to the structure and leadership of the team. Overall, from the firm, I do feel valued to some extent, however they could improve this by increased recognition.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The induction and first few weeks of the programme were structured, with regular training sessions on various aspects. However, more recently this has dropped off and there is not so much structured training. Overall, I feel we have the support in place when we need it.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • We received the relevant support from the provider in order for us to complete our qualifications and pass our exams. I felt particularly supported with the coursework.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There is always support available from my team, peers, colleagues. This has been great and extremely useful coming straight from school. Having our own people manager is really useful and provides someone who is able to support us with any issues that may occur.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Currently, I feel the salary meets all my costs. However, I am still living at home and therefore this may vary for people paying rent.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are different networking events and socials outside of work that provide benefit to me personally and for the firm. PwC are involved in many community schemes, e.g. school mentoring and this also provides an opportunity to help the local community.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have really enjoyed it so far and felt I have learnt a lot since joining. It has given me the opportunity to learn valuable skills and meet lots of people with years of experience in the industry. It is a great place to kickstart a career and feel fully supported.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Prepare fully for the application process. Look at the careers sections on the PwC website as there is a lot of helpful information on there. Speak to people who have been through the process and don't be afraid to ask questions or for advice as people are always willing to help
