I am a database engineer at Capgemini and currently maintain, patch and clone applications on a daily basis. In addition I support on-call out of hours for mission critical systems.
Capgemini’s extensive client portfolio and bank of skilled senior resources has allowed me to work within both public and private sector and learn from experienced team members.
I have built up 5-years experience working within a team.
Appreciation is often received by colleagues and local management but not always appreciates by the wider business.
Experience built working within my team was invaluable in comparison to structured courses attended.
Job specific Vendor training was most productive and relevant in career objectives.
I was a mentor to other apprentices and service delivery manager help support day to day operations.
Salary exceeds expectations as an apprentice.
Organised social activities such as 5-a-side football for team building. Weekend working available.
