  • 4. How valued do you feel by Capgemini?
  • I feel I am highly valued by Capgemini. I am aware I was brought in as an apprentice to combat an aging workforce and due to my low resourcing costs I would provide healthy profits for the company. With this I feel I have been able to benefit from these circumstances in that they compliment my development as I am always encouraged to progress.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My structure could be more organised. There were a few mix ups along the way from various parties internal and external. I feel this has always been due to lack of communication between companies and a lack of ownership over apprentices in that regard. The pay and progression plan is Capgemini's trump card. Providing regular reviews and opportunities to fast track through the grades has been fantastic for determined individuals

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I am now at University and have been slightly dissatisfied with the support received so far from the university. I feel they always have an ability to forget we are part time students and working full time and often we are not accommodated for our demanding schedule

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer provides me with regular support. There are official procedures such as review cycles which consistently check up on my performance and ask how I feel I am progressing. There are also many helpful team members and managers who are happy to provide support when needed.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I feel that my salary has stayed relatively competitive throughout my apprenticeship. I have received regular wage rises and grade increases to reflect my performance. I do have concerns over the pay gap between myself and other senior colleagues as we are effectively carrying out the same job but receiving vastly different pay. I am hopeful this will be resolved by the time my apprenticeship comes to an end after 5 years.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are not many opportunities out side of work due to geographic issues. Any schools events etc. are always down in London and so if we want to do such initiatives it is off our own back and requires us to plan ourselves.
