My job title is currently data analyst however the programme I am on is rotational. My daily tasks include updating specifications and various project management tasks.
I have completed level 3 AAT with my apprenticeship and I am currently studying towards Bachelor of Science degree in digital and technology solutions at BPP university, I have completed a data modelling training at work
I enjoy the programme and I believe it is a great opportunity to young people that consider an alternative route. My team is also great and supportive. The culture within the company is also very welcoming.
I feel valued by my managers and other stakeholders, I also get to work with clients and I feel like they appreciate the work that I do for them.
My programme is very well structured and we have a clear idea of how it works. We also get put onto mandatory trainings and we have a support systems that includes buddy and mentor.
We receive reasonable amount of support and it is always easy to email your tutor to get a quick response. The always guide you in the right direction if they can't get you a straight answer
I receive reasonable amount of support, most of it comes from my direct managers and peers such as fellow apprentices. Generally everyone is always keen to help out and support you
Living in London on apprentice salary is very tough. I feel like most apprentices live at home so it's easier for them but I constantly struggle to have a normal life because my rent is more than half of my salary
There is a reasonable amount of opportunities out there such as volunteering, networking events however finding the time for them is always problematic.
Yes
it is good, especially the grad scheme as salary is pretty much 10k more. And there are loads of trainings and various opportunities to get involved in. You also get a qualification such as ACA, CIMA etc depending on your department
Be ready to be proactive from day one, it is a big company so sometimes people may forget you exist unless you put yourself out there. Also make sure you read up on what would be expected in your role and what you department do so it doesn't come as a surprise
