I have been on this apprenticeship for 7 months now and I am currently a data analyst, I carry out data analysis tasks on a day to day basis as well as working on big projects/
I have developed mainly project management skills as well as communication skills and general business courtesies. I will continue to pick up numerous skills on this apprenticeship.
I love this apprenticeship! it has given my the ability to still take a uni degree as well as working full time in a bank, which has developed me much more than just going to uni full time!
I feel very valued as an employee and I realise that I am by the responsibilities that they give me, for example working with external clients, they would just give those responsibilities to anyone unless they know I can do the job correctly!
The structure is great, every 6 months we rotate into another department of the bank doing a different job each time, this way at the end we wall have a wide range of skills.
There is always someone I can talk to if I need support, the person that looks after all of us as a collective as absolutely brilliant, she caters for all our need and is very understandable.
I receive support from my colleagues, line manager, apprentice manager, and team member so I have plenty of people around my that help out.
My salary meets all my needs and more! I believe at the time of looking this was the highest paying apprenticeship / competitive, which I am very grateful for.
Yes there are discovery days that we do and we did one for all the apprentices, we all went to a school and helped out painting and other tasks etc.
Yes
Santander has given me the ability to excel in the business world and I am very grateful for the opportunity that they have given me. I would definitely recommend this apprenticeship.
The application process was quite difficult, I would say make sure you prepare for it by doing lots of research and try to prepare for any questions you think they may ask.
