I work in the CDO. My day to day jobs consist of looking after a shared mailbox where I email internal staff who need help accessing data. I also have started to apply programming knowledge from my degree into my work environment through the use of SQL.
I have learnt lots of new programming skills. For instance before I had no experience in programming. I now feel confident to write in Python and SQL. I have also developed existing skills such as time management.
I really enjoy my programme. It keeps me very busy. It also gives me so many opportunities to develop myself and in my opinion is a much better option than going to university.
I feel very valued. I play an integral role in my team and generally do work which my fellow colleagues do.
quite organised. As it is the first year of the programme there are a few parts that need ironing out which will come as the years go by and we learn more.
My training provider does well to support me. However I feel the university could do more to help students especially work based learning students in terms of assignments. This is because I feel it is hard to communicate with your lecturers via email all the time.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. I also have two managers through my programme which helps.
As an 18 year old coming out of 6th form my salary exceeds my requirements and costs as I am also very local to the office. I feel the salary is very competitive and generous.
Yes there are loads of events Santander run outside of work from charitable work to community events that Santander run and raise money for. I have already taken part in some of these.
