Audit Assistant Associate working with very large clients, (FTSE 350) Lots of client interaction as well as internal communication with managers/senior managers
Studying for ACA qualification Lots of internal training courses to develop job specific knowledge Gain confidence in communicating with all different types of people from different cultures (I.e. overseas communication)
The work is interesting and always different All the people at Deloitte are incredibly friendly and welcoming, without doubt the best part about working for the firm. Company culture is very friendly, however occasional long days Deloitte has exceeded my expectations as an employer, I'm extremely impressed
You feel well appreciated internally and externally. Many chances to help community/ get involved in community programs
Very well structured programme.. Similar programs have been run for a number of years.
Plenty of support from training providers, the college which we attend are extremely helpful and gaining additional support from them is never an issue.
Mass amounts of support within the firm, many points of contact (Formal and Informal). The attitude towards helping others is the same across the firm.
My salary exceeds expectation for a school leaver, it is competitive and very reasonable. I live quite far away from the office which I am based but costs are covered easily.
There are plenty of social activities/ community activities outside of work. For example Football, Cricket, Rowing, Nights out etc.
Yes
I would recommend Deloitte as it is an immeasurable benefit to you whether you wish to leave after qualification or to stay at Deloitte for many years, either of these is a possibility and with Deloitte you have opportunities to travel and re-locate all over the world as well as having a big 4 professional services firm on your CV which is very highly respected.
Confidence is key, you need to be able to communicate in a friendly and polite manner as well as being able to hold a conversation as lots of your time spent with the firm will involve interacting with the client and meeting new people.
