My role varies on a daily basis but I'm mainly involved in conducting research for my project and different admin tasks such as collating reports of progression
I have developed my research skills and formal communication as now I know how to write professional emails and communicate with clients
I very much enjoy my programme and would definitely recommend everyone to take time out for work experience as it gives you such a good idea of what actual work feels like
I feel valued and my team always supports me and they made me feel like a true part of the team. I also feel like th work that I do is impactful and makes change
My programme is reasonably structured and gives you an overall idea of what will be expected from you how the logistics of it will work
I receive a lot of support from my training provider and I feel like they are approachable and easy to reach to. So far they've been very responsive to the issues I've had
I receive a lot of support from my employer. I'm always sitting with my team and I escalate any issues I face immideately
Salary of apprentices is very different to that of graduates despite apprentices often having much more experience and living only on the salary would be difficult
There is plenty of opportunities outside of work and we are encouraged to get involved in various activities with our teams such as volunteering. We have regular events that take place
Yes
I would recommend it as I think work experience is much more important that studies and qualifications and you get a feel for what to expect in a job that you will potentially end up doing for a long period of time
Do a lot of research on company values and see if you would fit in the culture and spirit of the firm otherwise you should consider searching for an alternative. Also make sure you are ready to answer questions such as what EY do
