My role involves a wide array of activities which mean no day is the same. Each day I get to use cutting edge cloud technology and meet people that share a similar passion. Designing solutions that help businesses is very rewarding when you see what a difference you can make.
The technology in which I am now a SME in is something I had no prior experience in at all. All this experience has been taught via training courses, self learning and other colleagues. I have also passed the Professional Scrum Master Exam and get the opportunity to go on 'community' days.
The programme has been good. When looking back I feel that the start of the programme was somewhat 'new' to both the business and the apprentices. However, seeing new junior talent come through I can't help but think how I have helped shape the course by offering feedback to the relevant business leaders. The team I work in is fantastic. The company culture is brilliant with all the schemes that they offer and my expectation of a typical 'IT' company was completely wrong. I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey so far and can't see me not enjoying it going forward.
The recognition schemes in Capgemini are second to none. I feel that I am appreciated by my manager for the work I complete and from the clients I complete the work for.
The programme has gotten much better over the years since being involved. During the first 18 months of the programme the organisation between Capgemini and the training provider was somewhat illusive. But after hard work and listening to feedback the business have realised the mistakes it has made and corrected them. The good aspect of the programme is that they are always trying to improve and learn from mistakes that are made.
The training provided via Aston University is good. I feel on occasions that the university do not appreciate that I have a full time Job along side the degree. This sometimes can result to stress and unrealistic timescales.
The level of support that the business offer is at the relevant level. The team in which I work in are always willing to give a hand if I am unsure on something. The business are always accommodating and are very understanding around the exam period.
Excellent. The package offered has evolved based on my experience and development in the work place. Expenses are offered when traveling away from the base location so you are not out of pocket.
Yes. I have done numerous volunteering activities and external events. I have completed the three peaks challenge, been involved in a coding for school imitative, the princes trust million makers challenge, the princes trust palace2palace.
Yes
Capgemini is an excellent company, from their competitive salary to progression opportunities. While Capgemini is a consultant company you would be surprised what roles they offer. I would be surprised if they didn't offer something you would find interesting.
Be honest, research the values, do you 'love' technology, are you good with people? These are the points that will indefinitely help you get through the phone interview and assessment day.
