I am a maintenance engineer for bmw, in my day to day life at college we do a mix between trailblazer and BTEC this helps us gain practical skills as well as theoretical knowledge.
I have learnt a lot of new skills from the trailblazer these being practical skills such as; bench, milling, cnc, turning etc. I have also learnt a lot more in the btec side of things so with the maths and materials etc.
I enjoy it a lot.
I feel valued a lot by the managers and they give a lot of help and encouragement.
The program itself is organised well and structured in a good manor, but due to us doing trailblazer this year I don't feel the college was prepared leading to delays.
I receive a fair amount of support from the training provider and the lecturers are always there to help if you need anything.
We can contact our employer at any time and they will always come back with a response to help us, no matter the problem.
I feel it meets my costs well and the benefits are great.
There are the odd events that bring families together, also there are get togethers for employees.
Yes
Because the support and benefits are great, and they give you the chance to really develop yourself.
Go for it.
