My apprenticeship is a rotational programme, so I get to rotate around different functions, audit, tax, advisory and tech solutions. In the first year of my programme I rotate every six months. I am currently in a cyber security placement. My day to day roll now is an analyst analysing logs and communication between computers looking for potential policy violation, which may discredit my firms. I also look for potential threats which could cost the firm a lot, for example the recent wannacry ransomware.
I have develeped a lot, my communication professionally has developed I am more outgoing and eager to develop professionally. I am also more confident and outgoing. I have and I am aiming to build on the softer skills like presenting and being a leader.
I enjoy every day a work, experience something new everyday and I M enjoying becoming a working professional.
I feel valued, I feel each day and everyday the little I do has an impact. I do real work and the same work as people with experience.
I think the programme has it flaws when we rotate it is not very well organised but the management do their best to meet business needs. One within the placement and all the training provided is very well organised.
I receive all the support I need to pass my exams and I got taught all the content and the lectures and there to support you if you need them.
I receive a lot of support from my management. I had a very difficult start and I lost a family member unexpectedly. I felt the management really went out of their way to see how I am and check up on me. Also support me with my exams and commitments I tried my best to maintain.
Well I cover my cost and I survive on my salary
Yes loads, lots to get involved with and do
Yes
Because I think it's a great chance to grow and great name to put on your cv. Kpmg provides a great platform and is a great starting point to develop as a professional.
Stay positive and put in your all, don't give up and be persistent
