Your role depends on which department you are in, however regardless of which ever department you are in you will be open to new experiences and challenges.
Since joining KPMG I have learnt new skills through the support of the management team and KPMG training courses. I have gained and I am on my way to completing AAT. You are put on many courses depending on where the management team or yourself feel are lacking. This helps you to gain confidence and brush up on your knowledge.
I enjoy working at KPMG, it is nice to meet so many diverse people from different cultures and religions. They have many networks for their employees to get involved in and enjoy. It exceeds my expectations in terms of the work i have been involved in and the support you have if you feel demotivated and things are not going right. The program it self has given me opportunities such as going to McLaren and other forums where you do tasks and spend days with other apprentices. This is very refreshing and gives you a boost of confidence.
I feel on this program it is difficult to value a apprentice unless they do something outstanding, however on the day to day basis if you do something good you will be recognised for it. It depends on the team as well, some teams take advantage of the Encore Award system and some don't. However, during your progress review they will make it known to you how they feel you are progressing.
When I joined KPMG the program was new, the management team were still learning from feedback. As the two years have gone on, the program has took a successful structure. The training and induction provided to me was impressive, they knew what they were doing and had everything ready for us. Rotations and placements have been well planned too.
BPP are very supportive in terms of answering questions and giving guidance. They are always up to give their own time to make sure you are ready for your exam. I enjoy my days at BPP because the courses are taught to you at a pace you are comfortable with. The only down point is they do get exam dates mixed up sometimes.
The KPMG 360 management team are always there to understand your problems or if you are genially feeling down. They are very understanding of work life balance, and are always there to mentor you and be there for you more than just a management team.
The salary package offered by KPMG is a very impressive and competitive package. However, if you are living away from your base office, you may want to consider how much it costs to travel from home everyday. Other than that they have other options to help you travel from your base office to home such as a loan.

It is one of the best companies to provide apprentiships such as the 360 program, for young people it is a dream career path and the company has a lot to invest in a person as long as it is given back.
To be confident and make sure you know what KPMG are and how they became KPMG. It is important you know what they do and their client base as well as any other information they would be pleased that you know.
