Initially started by shadowing other work experience colleague, and then was given my own work - which involved running my own market research tasks and creating marketing materials
Yes - I felt as though the tasks I was given put me out of my comfort zone and this was actually a great learning style for me. This involved taking the lead in group work and presenting to large groups of people
I fully enjoyed it. I felt valued and as if I was making a real difference to the team. As this was my first work experience it gave me real confidence in a work environment.
I felt very valued - despite not being a permanent member of staff I was treated like one, and got the feeling that they really cared
Very well structured - looking back on it I appreciate the varied types of work I got to see, and all senior managers made a real effort to be involved
My training provider prepared me with everything I was to expect, and this was exactly on point. They were always there when needed
Happy with the support from the employer - used it as an opportunity to ask as many questions as possible. As this was my first work experience I had a lot of questions, and they were always willing to help
I was happy with my overall package - this was an opportunity for me to get work experience and was fantastic for my CV building so that was more important to me at the time
There was no real out of work opportunities at Ford - it was very work focused. This was the one thing I would have liked to have been better to improve my experience
Yes
Overall I had a fantastic experience at Ford and it set me up brilliantly for the working world - an impressive company to have on my CV as well
Be confident. Don't think that the relaxed atmosphere and informal ways of working will mean you are in for an easy ride. Work can be hard, but very rewarding.
