I am an Account Manager for the UK Leading IT Reseller, Softcat. My job includes cold calling customers, putting quotes together, going out on meetings, organising conference calls, organising my pipeline and most importantly sales. I really enjoy my job because the support at Softcat is amazing and you have regular training sessions.
I have learnt how to be a good account manager, meanwhile gained loads of different qualifications which have really helped me in my day to day job. Softcat put on loads of additional training too outside of the apprenticeship, which are run by directors and other successful sales people, which have been really helpful in developing my own account management skills.
I absolutely love my job. It was the best move I could of made coming out of college and I look forward to a successful career at Softcat.
Very valued. The whole Softcat team are so supportive and everyone is so proud of the apprentice programme. We are always getting recognised throughout the company as assets, which is really great.
The induction and training is very well organised. This is a 3 week programme where you get to know all of the other apprentices and learn all about your role and the organisation. The support with the coursework is also great and all of the managers are willing to help out wherever they can. We have monthly / weekly one to ones with different members of the management team too.
Loads, they are always there to help. All responses are quick guidance is great when completing your apprenticeship.
I receive an immense amount of support from Softcat. I have an apprentice manager who sits next to me who is always helping and supporting me and also a wider team who are there to help me too. Any problems I have, I can go to a member of the management team comfortably and they will always help as best they can.
Yes, the salary at Softcat is great. It is a great amount and attracts the right candidates.
