It was a week-long programme aimed at Year 12 students, aimed to give them an overview of working at KPMG/in the professional services industry. This included seminars based on employable skills, as well as shadowing KPMG workers. I shadowed a forensics team.
Yes- we had employability workshops, aimed at increasing skill levels. For example I improved communication, planning, presentation skills, data analysis, teamwork and other such skills.
I really enjoyed the week-long programme, it was a great way to get an insight into the industry, whilst having targeted workshops aimed at my age to help me later in life.
I felt very valued on the programme, they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and looked after. Since the programme there has been very little in terms of communication from them, which is understandable as it was a programme for 6th form students, so they couldn't really employ us.
It was very well organised; the work shadowing was all pre-arranged and lots of speakers had prepared presentations for us ahead of time.
We received a lot of support while on the programme. N/a for afterwards.
N/a, it was organised by a few individuals within the company- the employer was supportive in facilitating the programme though, so overall supportive.
We had all travel costs reimbursed, as well as a lunch allowance which covered our food while we were in the offices. Very well covered, an accessible programme.
Not really applicable, but from what I gathered there were for employees.
Yes
They seem to look after their employees, have a good working environment and seem well organised/managed.
Put a bit of time into your application, they're looking for people with employable skills. But they will also develop these, so just go for it!
