I am the Member Services Department Assistant in the Membership Team, which involves working closely with the 600 elected members. I monitor the secure area the elected members use as well as managing their emails. I also update the Group Membership website by uploading documents, photographs and important announcements and adding and removing members. I provide all the administration for the elected members including claiming expenses and document creation. During elections I have to co-ordinate everything from member’s pictures on the website to booking the events and making sure the day runs smoothly. I also provide support to 60 in the National Membership Department to ensure that the team objectives and goals are met. This includes answering telephone calls, help with enquiries, filling, distributing post and any other duties that help the team. Lately I have been helping Lord Myners review for reforming the Group’s governance by producing reports and data metrics.

Because it's different than just working to any old company. It becomes part of your life. I have amazing opportunities to share my story at other schools to explain to school children what an apprenticeship and the opportunities they bring.
Make sure you know that you want to work for The Co-operative and expain why it is different than any other business.
