My role was in New preposition development in soups and sauces at the Spalding factory. Testing recipes and evaluating them. Many different recipes per day until they were perfected
Understanding in the practicalities of new product development Communication skills, cooking skills and ability to follow recipes and adjust them. Application of my cooking and nutrition knowledge
Thought it was great, everybody was helpful and taught me a lot. I felt valued and they need it very enjoyable for me. Made me want to go into food industry
Bakkavor were great, I feel glad that they put me in new product development as I am a very keen cook and love to play around with recipes. Staff were supportive and taught a lot
I did not have any issues. No communication issues. Organisation was great also. Don't have any complaints, always knew what I needed to do
We were briefed before hand and I feel that this is perfectly enough to get you going. During was also fine, I always hafd a supervisor
Supervisor was always great and very grateful for me being there. He was happy for all the help I gave and he supported me when needed
I did not have a salary, it was voluntary and so I did not get any money, this is fine as I was living at home no outgoings really so no problem
Not sure what this means... There are a lot of food related opportunities in Lincolnshire and bakkavor is huge. Lots of similar places in lincs

Very friendly environment and they seem to value their staff. Depends what you want to do as they have so many different things available
Be very good communicator, have good ideas and willing to share these. Be knowledgeable about their products and who they provide for
