I am an apprentice machinist for Sheffield Forgemasters. I will be creating high quality components, by machine, for the engineering sector.
Yes, I have learned a lot about engineering.
I enjoy the technicality of engineering and how precise machining can be.
I feel like a colleague and a member of the team already.
It's structured well and organised well.
I receive a lot of support for the areas I require to develop.
I receive a lot of support from Forgemasters as well.
It meets the costs well, in terms of costs it's only really travel.
I'm not too sure, I haven't really looked into it.
Yes
It's a brilliant career, you can learn a lot. And when fully qualified, you can also earn a lot. There are also a lot of paths you can go down if you desire a change.
Keep on applying, I was applying for engineering apprenticeships for roughly 2 years until I saw this brilliant opportunity.
