My role involved assisting in technical projects, lots of cable management, labelling. Daily interacted with the other memebers of staff and the visiting clients. I was involved in projects which were for use for broadcast and live music industries
I have learnt a wide range of technical, practical and theoretical experiences. Didn't have any external or internal training but learn't a ton of personal and professional skills
I enjoyed every aspect of my time working. Working in a close, small team who deal with a wide range of clients. There was a great company culture which I felt I fitted into well and it met my expectations
I felt valued by everyone I worked with. I got recognition from within the company. I also got recognition from outside the company both with clients to the company and the wider community
There was some structure and organisation. The structure which was set up was very different to the task delegation that I received. This was expected as to the nature of the industry
I received training from my uni tutor before and after my placement. I also received training from my advisor. I received guidance with problems that I had to overcome, for example communication issues
I also received training from my advisor. I received support with technical problems that I had to overcome, for example problems I was having with uni work and how it related to the job
I was aware that the cost to get to and from my placement would be covered comfortably within my weekly living allowance and so my costs were met. Lunch was provided so this saved me some money.
None directly that I am aware of
Yes
They were a great company to work with and work placements can be a great stepping platform in getting work and future employment. The people you get to work with and meet will teach you some of the greatest lessons
Don't rush the application process, interviews can be scary but don't fear them and be yourself. It is better to be yourself and make an odd mistake then fake someone you are not as you'll be found out in the end. Take every opportunity you can
