As a perrson doing work experience, I was given some jobs that a trainee solicitor may do and tasks that and some documents that gave me an idea of what the solicitors do on a daily basis or what they sometimes need to do. All the solicitors were friendly and were willing to help, answer questions and give advice as well as talk about their experience going into law.
I have found new ways of researching and searching for information to do with law and speaking with people in presentations.
The work was interesting and challenging, the people were friendly and the atmosphere in the company wasn't too uptight in a way, they were still professional but were, in a sense rather laid back. I really wnjoyed working here.
I felt valued as I was given a task that would be used with clients and one that another trainee needed to send to a senior member which made me feel valued because the trainee needed my help.
The schedual was well set out and easy to understand and the trainees ensured that I knew how to use everything and helped me by telling me about certain search engines and talked to me to ensure that I understood everything and wasn't bored.
If I had a problem I could easily ask them, without needing to worry about bothering them as they were happy to answer my questions or help me when I needed it.
If I had any problems or questions, I could easily ask the trainees for help by talking to them or by sending a quick email.
It meets my costs as the train fare isn't to expensive as I can just get a week ticket and it isn't very far from where I live.
There are many opportunities because I have an hour for lunch which I can use by going out for lunch with the other people doing work experience.
Yes
Rather than be solely professional and all about work, the trainees are friendly and willing to include me in their activites after work such as night outs or office sports.
To not be worried at interviews as they are all very friendly.
