HR Assistant- mainly admin based roles such as booking meetings, answering emails and assisting with team tasks. I assist with the diversity and inclusion agenda and manage youth programmes such as work experience.
Office based skills such as email drafting and taking minutes. Excel and powerpoint training. Mentoring from line manager.
Amazing work culture- very relaxed and friendly! Great flexible working policies in place for all employees. Really enjoyed the opportunity to learn here.
Valued to an extent, however could have had more recognition from line manager. Had the opportunity to become involved in a variety of projects.
Strong induction session and support. Team very welcoming and friendly. Training support for IT and general tasks. Well structured programme
Support from training provider available- tutor always on hand.
More support needed from manager. HR team was supportive. Not much guidance on problems- fix it yourself attitude- but good for learning
Salary adequately covered rent, travel costs and social cost however nothing left over at end of month!
Variety of voluntary events to get involved in which range from school programmes, to work experience, to volunteering at food banks. Strong focus on helping the community. Gym classes and sports club also.
Yes
Great culture in the office, everyone friendly and hardworking... good balance of work and play. Many opportunities to develop yourself whilst working here. You will be pushed, but you will also learn a lot!
Memorize the website before your interview (3 stages; online, telephone and face:face). Familarise yourself with the Unilever Standards of Leadership and practice competency based questions.
