My role involves various 3 month placements around the business, these can include maintenance on the line and shadowing qualified technicians.
I have learnt a whole range of new skills as well as developing every other engineering based skill I had prior to starting.
I enjoy the programme, the perks are brilliant and I feel valued by the people I work with
I feel very valued, I recieve a generous salary with regular performance based pay-rises as well as access to a car scheme. This level of investment into apprentices makes you feel valued
The programme itself is organised and structured well from a company point of view however the associated colleges organisation and structure can be bad at times resulting in some issues
The support from the training provider varies a great deal subject to lecturer and their level of expertise in both the field and teaching.
The support from the company is excellent in terms of support networks. You have access to numerous skilled people to rely on as well as support for events or out of work activities
Salary is excellent, along with the payrises. They cover my expenses whilst living with parents however I may struggle if I was on my own.
Lots of events are available subject to you being willing to participate. These can range from Career's Fairs to large networking events.
