Worked in the auditing department as an auditor here at PwC. Mainly worked out at client site which involved meetig with clients to discuss the financial statements and going over line items analysing them in detail. I also worked in office on planning stages which was the beginning stage of the audit this tended to entail planning the engagement, who is in the team, who works on what whilst out at client site etc
Developed teamwork skills and self confidence in myself as you are always talking/pitching/meeting new people Also developed my professionalism alot as you had to represent the company at the highest level at all times.
I enjoyed my time here greatly and never felt bored or sad to go to work.
The junior managers know you on a personal basis which is good as that makes you gain a connection and feel valued however the big directors/partners can just see you as a number at times which can be demoralising.
Very structured, the first 2 placements are set out so you join in off peak season so you ease in and then the final placement is in busy season.
There was no deadline to report back to the provider however you always knew they were there for support if needed.
You have a people manager who phones or arranges in person meetings with you every week to track progress and make sure everything is running smoothly and you also get issued a 'buddy' who supports you along the placement as acts as your go to person if you have any questions/needs.
The salary represents the work load quite well and I feel is fair for the tasks which you are required to do.
There are alot of socials which are organised outside of work. And there are sports opportunities always going on (rugby, cricket, football)
