Follow around trainees, and see how the different department work. You follow a different trainee everyday and whilst doing so do tasks which they ask you to complete.
Learn skills about how to use the IT, and research methods.
I enjoyed learning that maybe commercial law isnt suitable for me and that I will not be following this path of Law, but I may do criminal law.
You are welcomed by all of the Pinsent Masons team and feel apart of the team.
The programme is very well strcutred, there was a timetable clearly set out, stating what was happening at what time, and this was handed to us. We also had a timetable of which trainee we was with on the certain days. The programme was well orgainised.
You recieve a lot of support from yout trainee, they sit you down and tell you what the department is about and have a chat to you about law, and then they give you tasks. You are able to visit them at any point and can always email them with any questions.
We didnt have an employer but the trainees gave us support when we needed it.

Yes
If you are interested in commercial law, then this is a great oppourtunity to learn what happens day to day, and you are also told how to get into law, it is a very informative programme.
Apply to Pinsent Masons so you can see if Law is suitable to you and if it is if commercial law specifically is suitable for you or if you didnt enjoy the experience then maybe this type of law isnt suitable but other types of law could be such as criminal. It helps you to decide your future career.
