I am an assistant manager in the hospitality industry. My role involves all aspects of running a pub and also assuming responsibility when my GM is not present
The training provided help me further understand profit and loss better and the exercises given helped me to focus on the job
In the latter stages it became more enjoyable
Neither valued or undervalued
Under my second tutor very much so
My second tutor was superb but I felt let down by my first
My GM was happy to support me when needed
I earn significantly less than in previous jobs but I understood this to be the case when I beganni
I have time to spend with my son as my GM is very sympathetic but I feel my future is unlikely to improve because of my family situation.
Yes
Good training and dependable work
Make sure you are flexible and be prepared to wait for opportunities
