I am a supervisor and shift manager. I lead the team on the floor and interact with the kitchen on deciding each days menu. I am responsible for cashing up at the end of the night and ensuring the building is secure. I also took on the role of Christmas co-ordinator last year, single-handedly confirming the bookings and details of over 3000 guests for Christmas parties in a 3.5 week period.
I have achieved my WSET level 1 certificate and completed my Lifetime Level 2 training. I am obligated to complete many Flow training courses online, as refeshers throughout my employment and have gained admin skills.
I really enjoy my programme, the team I work with are the best part and the company is great to work for.
Quite valued. We receive 6 month appraisals and get on very well with many company heads who know most of our team on a first name basis.
very organised. We are always prepared for upcoming projects, and on a day to day basis, we are briefed before each lunch and dinner shift.
On initial uptake of the appreniceship, myself and my colleague received no support or communication from our trainer provided. She would not turn up for sessions or show up on days we had not planned to see her. When our new trainer, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], took over, she was nothing but helpful and understanding. We had the whole course to complete in 2 and a half months and Asha worked alongside both of us to ensure we got this completed in time.
we are supported very well by greene king.
As I have the bonus of live in accomodation I find my wage meets my living costs adequately.
we get to visit lots of our other sites, take part on training days and team days out once a year.
