On a day to day basis I am required to complete tasks and assignments to a sufficient and competent standard within the overall desired time period. the tasks I have to undertake are based on a fabrication style job.
I am learning to achieve an NVQ in engineering and Btec through the apprenticeship programme. I have developed existing hand skills and am working to further progress my knowledge and skills.
I have only been part of this apprenticeship for a short period less than a year, but so far I am enjoying the programme and what it has to offer me.
I have only been a member of this apprenticeship programme for a short period. However in that time I feel that I have become a valued member of the time.
I feel that the programme is structure sufficiently to meet the needs of the apprentices and there needs. the programme ahs different aspects to offer dependant on what specific programme you are under taking.
I receive the relevant support from my training instructor whether it be from their point of view feeling like I need the extra help or me seeking help because I need it.
I receive the relevant support from my employer when I require it. they are easy to contact and talk to when I have any problems or queries that need resolving.
the salary package at its current point is suitable to sustain my current costs.
outside of the training centre there are events and opportunities to undertake to help advertise the company and gain a new influx of apprenticeships for the following year. along side these events there are local and national apprentice challenges to take part and compete in against other apprentices across the same style of course.
Yes
it is a great apprenticeship to be a part of due to the training we are given across the length of the apprenticeship. also the facilities we have to work in are to a high standard and i feel lucky to have achieved this apprenticeship and would recommend it to another.
I would say be yourself, and be confident. BAE pride themselves on there employee diversity and if you are willing to learn and push yourself then BAE will be willing to train you.
