Responsibilities include studying of modern technology, state-of-the-art engineering and production techniques so as to understand the assembly and function of technical equipment and learn to produce and maintain mechanical assemblies and electrical assemblies while adhering to all health and safety requirements. Also follow the mentor and learn the day-to-day business to ensure the support functions contribute to the smooth operation of production.
Completed BTEC Level 3 in Engineering, currently studying Foundation Engineering Other skills include team building, communication, planning etc.
I enjoy my apprenticeship and how all department make me feel a part of the team despite being an apprentice. In the past, I have been given small projects which clearly indicates the trust they have shown
Very valuable. I can easily approach the managers and group leaders in case there is a issue. I have involved in the number of projects in the past where they shown confidence in my ability to deliver the results.
It is very organised. A yearly plan is produced using which I know which department I'll be working with in which month and who will be my mentor.
The traiinig provider are very helpful. Every 2-3 months I sit with my training manager and apprenticeship advisor to reflcet on the performance and if there is any issues that needs discussing.
The employer is very supportive. The training manager is easily approachable and has a good rapport within other plants.
Way better than some apprenticeship in manaufacturing industry

Great place to work. Everyone is very helpful. The placements are very well organised.
If you like physics or engineering, this is a right place to start working. Be confident. If you dont perform good in one activity during recruitment process, dont lose hope. In fact, ensure that you can clearly reflect who you are. If employed, feel free to ask any questions and dont hesitate to approach your mentor if there is any problem
