  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • apprentice mechanical fitter, at the moment we spend most of our time in the classroom learning maths, health and safety, mechanical principles and other mechanical related subjects, however the organisation is very poor and there are many times where we have nothing to do.

  • I love working here (when we have work to do)

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BAE Systems?
  • I feel management has excluded the mechanical class and cast a stereotype leaving me feeling as if I am not valued. also I feel as if management cares more about the reputation of the training centre more than the apprentice training.

  • very poorly.

  • excellent support given from both Babcock and BAE, both very knowledgeable.

  • haven't had the opportunity.

  • much more than I need.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • there has been many talks of activities however nothing has ever worked out.

  • 9. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • No

  • because although the quality of training is excellent the organisation means that I feel as I'm wasting my time.

  • watch who are associate with.
