I am an advanced apprentice, throughout the day we are learning and getting delivery from the Instructors. Occasionally we are in the workshop putting what we learn in the class into practice.
I have learnt skills that I wouldn't have got if I had gone to college, being in a work environment you learn what working life is like, however there's not the work pressures on your back.
I look forward to each day and what more info I can learn, I enjoy the peers and the company. they have the correct balance of seriousness and enjoying your time.
I feel a part of BAE, I feel proud to wear the badge across my chest, workimg in the various groups you feel a part as you can make a stern change to wat the group does and how it changes what happens.
The company is organised in the sense that we have someone to teach us each day and someone will always be there if we need the guidance, the company is also good at arranging out of curriculum such as football.
The training provider is Babcock, I think the Babcock instructors are there for us and are ready to give a hand at any point, if the work you are doing is hard they will try explaining in another way.
Our manager deals with problems as necessary and if the manager is not there to give advice there are numerous other people to talk to . they have a good attitude to supporting us.
My living cost are reasonably low due to living at home, the pay check is god as I can quite comfortably live without any outstanding payments to be dealing with
company sets up events such as football with the Navy, they also set up workshops out side the company through the STEM ambassador scheme the company has set up.
Yes
It a opportunity not to take, with the size of the company you are never set in concrete with where you can go to, there is always room for change if you need a change of scenery
Do not hesitate and do not be worried, the interview was set out so no one was to anxious with the big life step we were all taking
