My daily tasks involve completing my theory and practical work to a high standard to give me a better understanding of the subject, so that I may use that knowledge in the future
I have learned new skills on complex machinery such as lathes and milling machines. Also I have gained a better understanding of mechanical principles of engines; how they work and how to repair and maintain them
I feel like it is a great opportunity for my self and it is a much better choice than a college program as I feel I have gained a lot more experience from this apprenticeship and qualifications then I would from others and colleges
I feel like I am valued in the company as I will be contributing a lot to the company in the future when I complete my training
I feel like the structure could be greatly improved as in terms of organization things will get brought up and then shortly after they don't actually happen, in my opinion this is because of poor organization and communication.
I have received a great deal of help and support from my Babcock instructors as they are very well organised and when something isn't understood in class they will continue to help me until I understand. And also I feel like my Babcock instructors are very approachable in terms of anything.
I feel like I don't receive much support from my employer as going back to question 5. things aren't coordinated well and also from question 6a. I feel like I gain more support from my Babcock instructors than my Employer
The pay is GOOD for my apprenticeship program however it would be better/Helpful if we could get paid more to cover travel costs each month.
There are company activities from time to time however many of these opportunities are told but are never followed through by the Employer.
Yes
