I am currently in the role of a Quantity Surveying apprentice, working in procurement for my second placement. I am supporting on a few major projects that are at the tender stage, this involves writing procurement strategies and evaluation strategies for the bids we receive for each job.
I have developed plenty of new skills at TfL, particularly in this second placement as I had no idea what procurement was. I have also completed training courses on pathway and ambassador training to allow me to develop my professional skills.
My team are great, and they're supportive, they're good fun when they want to be.
I feel like I am valued as I am given a lot of responsibility which I love as it means I can really try to fulfil mu potential.
My programme is structured very well, when we changes from our first to our second placement, the transitions were easy and fast. The support you receive in the workplace is massive as well.
I receive a fair amount of advise from my training provider. They try to give me tips so that I can develop my own answer.
A lot, they constantly want me to thrive and I feel very comfortable working in TfL.
My salary is at a good level in my opinion, I believe if I work hard it will be able to earn high money too.
There are many social events, away days and things of the alike that you can get involved in, everyone is lovely and I am really enjoying it.
Yes
It is a great place to work.
In the interview, just be you, speak clearly but remember to just be yourself. There's no point in pretending to be someone you're not.
