I am on the civil engineering highways scheems, i am currently on highways network. This consists of me doing a daily audit of about 10 jobs and then i have to go out on to site and inspect the to check whether they meet standards or not.
I am doing my HNC in Civil Engineering and Level 3 in management. I have completed a defensive driving course, a liscensed ambassador course (which allows me to work on underground station when help is needed) alongside many internal qualifications.
I really enjoy the team i am with at the moment and who i see everyday. The company's culture is amazing, it embraces everyone from every walk of life - this being one of the main reasons i decided to join TFL. Being in TFL went above and beyond my expectations.
I feel as though you are truly valued for everything you do. No matter what task you are allocated to do, big or small, it will always be acknowledged and appreciated.
Everything is well organised, at the beginning of the scheme you are given an overview of how everything will work and this has been adhered to
A lot of support is provided.
Everyone in the company supports me, this goes from my placement manager all the way to my line manager and even senior management. Everyone is willing to help you where need be to get the best out of you and ensure you are doing well
Meets it very well.
Yes we have social activites outside work and now an apprentice group has started to socialise outside work hours
Yes
In my opinion they are currently the best company to work for due to their work ethos, benefits and how enjoyable it is to be in this company
Do research on the company and the roll you are applying for, know how your role is connected to TFL. Also make sure you have examples of compentencies ready using the STAR format
