Customer Advisor role included duties, such as product quality checks on daily basis, customer advice regarding products and company, online advice centre (helping customers regarding their orders), online products delivery management (ensuring that products are delivered with the highest standards and on scheduled time) and maintenance check (maintaining stock and products on shelves).
At the beginning I found the placement difficult during the start of store time, I began to enjoy it and understand the role of an area manager the more I developed throughout the business and understood how the business operates from the ground up. I felt like I was constantly busy and learning new things.
My situation was quite different to others, as there were situations which some of my peers may not have experienced during their placements. Most notably, I feel that I have become a much more confident person in the process. The area management role is very interesting and involves people management alongside analysis, which I particularly enjoyed.
My area manager/mentor was really helpful throughout the placement. They gave me advice, updated me on my progress and reassured me of my abilities. In store, the managers were often tough whilst providing guidance but this is because you are learning on-the-job. It is important that you take constructive criticism positively as this is what really helps you to develop.

Once a month company provides social meetings where all the colleagues can interact with each other and make new friends. Moreover, there are many vouchers/discounts on sport facilities and restaurants, so there is definitely plenty to do after working hours. Socials are definitely a strong point of this work experience.
I believe that salary differs from city to city, but as for London it was average regarding the living costs in the capital. It could definitely be higher. Although, alongside with the vouchers and discounts I found it affordable and enough for a student. Location was based in London city.
